Amazing atmosphere and food. Definitely will be coming back and saved at as a favorite in my Google Maps. Thank you to our Waiter Richard and staff for taking time to explain the menu as we had a nut allergy. The whole family loved it!

It’s a nice spot to stop by if you’re in the area and looking for a coffee or a baked treat. The café can get quite busy, but when it’s slower, it’s a decent place to get some work done since they have outlets available. I ordered the chicken salad croissant, but it had very little chicken salad (see photo below). The staff could be a bit friendlier. They do have restrooms available, which is a plus. Overall, it’s a good option, but there are several other coffee shops nearby that I would also consider.

I’ve got to say, this place is fantastic when it comes to the food and coffee. Unfortunately, the service is what keeps me from coming back as often as I’d like. A recent example: I ordered a meal and asked to substitute the $4.50 side of potatoes for fruit. The menu lists both sides at the same price, yet I was told it would cost an additional $2. That kind of pricing logic is frustrating and seems difficult for staff to explain. This isn’t an isolated issue. They’re frequently out of menu items, and it’s not uncommon for coffee to be unavailable or not ready. When food is brought to the table, it often arrives without silverware or napkins. If you ask for them, you’re usually directed back inside to get them yourself. The food and coffee are genuinely good, which makes the service shortcomings even more disappointing. What’s remarkable is the consistency, I’ve been coming here on and off for seven years, and the service experience has remained reliably poor throughout that time. I can only applaud their commitment to maintaining such a low standard of customer care. If management ever invested as much effort into service as they do into the menu, this place could be exception

Super cute little joint in the heart of the Pearl to indulge in some yummy pastries & various coffee & tea options. ☕️🍵🥮 However, there was always a line basically out the door during the day & service was fairly roughing it, so plan accordingly.

Whenever we visit San Antonio, stopping at Bakery Lorraine at the Pearl is a must! After riding the nearby bike trails, it’s the perfect place for a relaxing brunch. The veggie frittata and kale Caesar salad are always delicious and fresh. And the desserts… absolutely amazing! Their baked oatmeal is also fantastic—it’s not overly sweet and has just the right balance of sweetness, especially with the fresh fruit on top and house made whipped cream. The cheese danish and fruit tart are scrumptious, but my personal favorite is the cinnamon croissant. It’s the perfect combination of flaky, buttery pastry with that sweet thick glaze on top—so good! Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and the perfect spot to recharge after a bike ride. We love it every time and can’t wait to come back!
